๐ Did You Know?
Badrinath Temple is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in India and welcomes millions of devotees seeking the blessings of Lord Vishnu every year.
The templeโs main shrine houses a black stone deity of Lord Vishnu beneath a golden canopy under the sacred Badri Tree, symbolizing divine protection and spiritual enlightenment.
Due to extreme Himalayan weather conditions and snowfall, the temple remains open only between April and November. Before the temple closes for winter, a sacred lamp filled with ghee is lit and believed to continue burning throughout the six-month closure period.
